FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our
frequently asked questions are not about us, they are intended to save you
time, money, and hassle
when renting a vehicle from all car rental companies.
Car Insurance?
All customers must provide the state minimum liability insurance to rent a car from us. We no longer offer car insurance. You can also check with your auto insurance company to see if they have this coverage on your policy. You can purchase non-owner auto insurance from many auto insurance companies. You can purchase car rental insurance from 3rd party companies such as bonzah.com, rentalcover.com and others.
What insurance does my credit card cover?
It
depends on your card and bank that offers it. Always check with your credit
card company and get your coverage details in writing before you make your
rental reservation. Also, always bring the coverage detail information with you
when you make your rental agreement.
Unlimited Miles?
Always ask if the rental includes unlimited miles. If not, ask what is the per mile additional cost, or ask for unlimited miles upcharge if you are planning long trips.
What
is the total cost to rent a vehicle?
Be
sure to get an itemized quote in writing before you rent. Many companies will
insert unnecessary charges, like tire and battery fee, parking fees, and so on.
Why are internet travel site prices much cheaper?
Because
they usually do not include taxes, state fees, insurance, etc. Do not be
fooled, get all details in writing with “out the door price.”
What else can my car rental company do for me?
Your
local agency should be able to provide tourist information, maps, flyers, and a
list of current and upcoming events in the area. Ask them, it’s free, and you
never know what interesting experiences you may end up having.
Can I rent a vehicle with a debit card or cash?
Yes. We do offer debit and cash sales. Call us today for details. All renters must provide a valid drivers license, a major credit card and a $200.00 CASH, security deposit. (if the customer is paying with anything other then a major credit card the deposit will be $500.00 in Cash) Deposits are returned when the car comes back in good condition, as spelled out in out rental agreement.
What services does my rental company offer? Do they pick me up and drop me off at my home/business?
You want to make sure your rental company offers to pick you up and drop you off at your destination. Whether it be your home, business or your gate at the airport you don't want to be stuck waiting for the bus to come. Make sure before reserving your rental vehicle, you ask about pick up and drop off services.
When I approach the counter, am I talking to a decision maker or order taker?
If you are renting your vehicle through big rental companies, you will always be speaking with an order taker. When you rent your vehicle through a private company, you will always be speaking with a decision maker.
